Reducing the environmental impact of your travel : MK Partnair’s Objective.
In 2012, business jets accounted for .04% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the world. Despite progress in the design of more environmentally friendly aircraft, this pollution is unavoidable. Faced with this reality, MK Partnair has decided to act.
A Self-Imposed Carbon Neutrality Initiative
Carbon compensation consists of financing an environmental project that will reduce CO2 emissions above and beyond the quantity produced as a result of your jet travel.
To this end, MK Partnair is working in collaboration with Climat Mundi to address our impact on the climate and finance certain ecological programs such that:
At present, this approach is the best solution offered by the aviation industry and it is our responsibility to act today to ensure a better tomorrow.
We are continuing to work on other ways to reduce C02 emissions by using the latest generation of jets that produce much less pollution – but for the emissions that remain: must we do nothing at all?
How it works
MK Partnairs holds the goal of compensating for all of the CO2 emissions produced by its flights. We systematically account for up to 4 tons of CO2 emissions per trip without passing on the price to our clients. For flights emitting more than 4 tons of CO2, MK Partnair will propose to its
clients the option of accounting for the excess.
Example: 1.42 tons of CO2 are emitted in a roundtrip flight from Paris to Geneva with 5 passengers aboard a Phenom 100 jet.
Our systematic compensation of up to 4 tons of emissions is therefore sufficient to compensate for the majority of our flights. Beyond that, we propose to our clients the option of purchasing the compensation of any excess emissions.
